The BRTA paratansit strike is officially over.

In a statement released by the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority, the organization received notification that the latest offer presented to the federal mediator handling the situation on Tuesday was approved.

The offer was submitted at a meeting on Tuesday and voted on by the paratransit union members who ultimately decided to end the strike.

All BRTA fixed route bus services will operate as usual beginning Wednesday and the paratransit service will be back to operation Thursday.

The BRTA expressed the community's patience during the strike, which began over two weeks ago.

"Thank you to the BRTA customers for your patience, understanding and ridership during this process," BRTA officials said in a statement.
