UPDATE- The national Protect the Results coalition has decided not to proceed with any mobilizations at this time, and the 5pm rally in Pittsfield has been cancelled.

Election day has come and gone but the results of the presidential outcome is still in question and too close to call.  Count Every Vote rallies are taking place in over 500 communities today including Berkshire County.  The first beginning at noon and again at 5pm at Park Square in downtown Pittsfield.  Each rally will last approximately 30 minutes according to the press release.

The Count Every Vote Rally is to promote that every vote be counted before declaring a winner of the presidential election. A coalition of local organizations are collaborating locally, including Indivisible Pittsfield, the Four Freedoms Coalition, Greylock Together, the Berkshire County branch of the NAACP, the Berkshire Democratic Brigades and others to host protests to ensure all votes are counted before a presidential winner is declared.

WHAT: Protect the Results/Count Every Vote rallies

WHEN: Wednesday, November 4th, at noon and 5pm for 30 minutes each

WHERE: Park Square in downtown Pittsfield, Mass.

WHO:  A coalition of local organizations are collaborating locally, including Indivisible Pittsfield, the Four Freedoms Coalition, Greylock Together, the Berkshire County branch of the NAACP, and the Berkshire Democratic Brigades. The nationwide actions are being organized by Protect the Results -- a coalition of over 100 groups that was formed to protect the results of the election.

WHY:  To ensure that every vote be counted and the United States has a peaceful transition of power.
