Drug Investigation Leads To Arrests In Bennington

RE: Narcotics Investigation
Bennington Police Detective Bureau and Bennington Patrol Division have been investigating reports of drug activity in the Benmont Avenue/Holden Street area of Bennington, Vermont. During the course of this investigation, it was determined the source of drug sales were coming from 136B Benmont Avenue.
On Friday, July 31, 2020, at 2234 hrs, Members of the Bennington Police Department secured and executed a search warrant for the residence of 136B Benmont Avenue. Troopers from the Vermont State Police-Shaftsbury assisted with the search warrant.
Three persons were located inside of the residence and two were identified to be Stephanie M. Predel, 29, Kirk Allard, 33, both of Bennington, Vermont.
During the search of the residence, Officers located 152 bags of suspected Heroin, 6 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine, 1.7 ounces of suspected Marijuana, Prescription Oxycodone and Morphine pills, Four thousand dollars in US Currency, Pre-paid store cards, Remington 16 gauge Shotgun, Beretta style Beebe gun, several smartphones, Scales, drug packaging material, ledger for drug sales and surveillance cameras.
Predel was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin and Cocaine, Sale of Heroin and Cocaine, Sale of Regulated Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm while committing a felony. Predel was held for lack of $50,000 bail. Predel is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Division on Monday, August 3, 2020, at 12:30 pm.
Allard was arrested and charged with Violation of Conditions of Release and was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court-Bennington Criminal Division at a later date.
