Many residents still chasing vaccine appointments, I can say is that some people are luckier than others to get their appointment, As of 6 p.m. Monday, new vaccine appointments were listed for the Berkshires, but demand for the appointments continues.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that even as tens of thousands of people are vaccinated every day more are foiled in efforts to secure an appointment.

More than 1 million people in Massachusetts became newly eligible Monday for COVID-19 vaccines, including people age 55 and older and those with one medical condition that puts them at higher risk.

These are all the groups who are now eligible for the Vaccine
Massachusetts is currently in Phase 2, Tier 5. Eligibility varies throughout Massachusetts, so you may also want to check your county or city’s health department website.

Boy, we went through those tiers pretty fast, That is a big reason not everyone is getting vaccinated, I have spoken with some elderly couples who are still having a hard time getting their appointments set up.

Veterans, their spouses and caregivers can get vaccinated against COVID-19 Saturday at the Berkshire Community College field house. Eligible recipients must make an appointment by calling 413-582-3110. While the vaccinations will take place at the same time as a Berkshire Vaccine Collaborative clinic open to eligible members of the public, the two clinics will run separately.
