Investigation On-going In Adams After Shots Fired

Subject: Shots Fired

On August 9, 2020, officers assigned to the overnight shift responded to the northern area of Bellevue Avenue for numerous reports of shots fired.

At approximately 1:00 AM responding officers met with on-scene witnesses and determined that numerous shots were fired into a residence on Bellevue Avenue. Shell casings and bullet fragments were located at the scene.

Adams Police were assisted by North Adams Police and the Massachusetts State Police including their patrol division Detective Unit, Firearms Identification Section, and Crime Scene Services Section.

No one was injured during this incident and the investigation is on-going. At this time we believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the general public. If anyone has any information please contact Detective Wandrei at the Adams Police Department. (413) 743-1212 ext. 108
