Important Information for the Mar. 13/Mar.14 Great Radio Auction Regarding Payment Methods and Receiving Items (please read closely)
Out of concern for the safety of our listeners and our employees, and in keeping with government suggestions to practice an abundance of caution, we are making changes to how we process payments and pick ups for the radio auction to be held on Mar. 13 and 14. This is expected to be a temporary process, for this auction only.
For this auction, we will only accept credit or debit cards for payment, and will not be accepting cash or check payments. When your call back operator calls to let you know you have won an item, they will request your form of payment, so please have your credit or debit card information ready, along with your mailing address. Once the auction is complete, your items will be charged to your credit card, and your auction items and receipt will be sent out through US mail, with tracking, at no cost to you. This is being done to eliminate the need for people to come to the stations, thereby reducing people from congregating in close contact in the radio station lobby and potentially exposing each other to possible viruses.
Unlike prior auctions, the office will not be open for pick up, so please do not attempt to pick up certificates in person.
While we understand this may be an inconvenience to some of our regular auction participants, we hope that you understand that this is being done with everyone’s safety in mind.

About The Great Radio Auction
The next Great Radio Auction takes place on Friday, Mar. 13 from 1pm-5pm and resumes Saturday, Mar. 14 beginning at 9am. Here’s how the Whoopee FM Great Radio Auction works! When you hear an item you like described on the air, call 413-499-3333 and tell the bidding operator how much you’d like to bid, what the item is (as we have multiple items on the bidding table at any given time), and a contact phone number. When the sold bell rings, if you are the high bidder you win! If your bid was indeed the highest, you will receive a call back from our call back operators telling you that you won the item (see above for new auction information)
Please Note: Even though you made it through to the operator, you are not assured the item unless someone calls you back with the confirmation number.
Gratuity Notice: Everyone wants discount restaurant certificates from the Great Radio Auction. For Restaurants to continue their participation in the auction, their wait persons must receive fair gratuities for service provided when the auction certificates are used. PLEASE, base your gratuity on the full value of the meals you receive. Your cooperation and fairness will help guarantee that a variety of fine restaurants will continue to participate in the radio auction!
