From the Adams Police Dept

Date: November 6, 2020

On November 5, 2020, at approximately  (10:00 PM) patrol officers assigned to the evening shift responded to the area of Center Street and Crandall Street for a report of a two car motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival patrol officers located one vehicle; a 2002 Toyota Camry in the roadway with extensive damage operated by a male party from Clarksburg. This vehicle was determined to have been traveling west from Orchard Street and was continuing west onto Center Street.

The operator of this vehicle was transported to Berkshire Medical Center for further evaluation with non-life threatening injuries.

The second vehicle; a 2005 Ford Taurus operated by a male party from Adams was located approximately 50 feet off the roadway and crashed into a stone wall behind a residence.

This vehicle had also sustained extensive damage. It was determined in speaking to witnesses that the Ford Taurus had been traveling south on Summer Street at a high rate of speed, and failed to stop at the stop sign at the end of Summer Street to Center Street thus colliding with the other vehicle.
