The NFL released the 2020 league schedule last night.  The Pats will have some hills to climb with the toughest strength of schedule in the league.  Of course without Tom Brady and an unproven quarterback expected to lead the Pats, this season will be a major challenge.

The Patriots will open the season on September 13th against the much-improved Miami Dolphins, who beat the Pats the last game last season causing the Pats to lose home field advantage.

Some real schedule challenges this season will come early when the Patriots have to play in Seattle in week two and in Kansas City against the Chiefs week four.

The Patriots bye-week comes in mid October in week six of the season between playing the Broncos and the 49ers.  They have one Monday night game against the Jets at home on November 9th and one Thursday night game late in the season on December 10th against the Rams in LA.  Look for the Patriots to stay on the west coast in preparation for the Thursday night game as they will be in LA to play the Chargers the prior Sunday.

Of course, things could change depending on the pandemic.  It is still currently unknown how the NFL and other leagues will handle the gathering of large crowds in stadiums across the country.  Germany recently allowed professional soccer to resume in the country, however they are playing in empty stadiums.

All the Patriots games this season can be heard locally on WBEC-AM 1240 in Pittsfield and WNAW-AM 1230 in North Adams.
