The other day while I was doing some quickie household chores, I began ruminating about what I really wanted to do once this painful pandemic finally ends, whenever that happened to be. I started running through my mind over those activities that I really, really missed. A few activities stood out immediately.

Going out to dinner with friends and family. Those BIG family gatherings, whether for holidays or just because. And, let's face it, I'd be kidding myself if I didn't admit to the fact that I sorely need some quality time with my hair stylist(Miss You, Patty!!!!).

But the one activity that I miss most of all is breakfast on Sunday mornings with my beautiful soulmate Tonya and our beautiful granddaughter Isabelle. It was a family tradition. Occasionally we'd miss a Sunday due to some other family commitment or bad weather, but it was rare. And our destination 95% of the time was Friendly's restaurant on Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield. A big shout-out to our favorite waitress on Sunday mornings, Michelle. Isabelle would always have a big smile for Michelle. But really, the whole crew are awesome. And sometimes, Auntie Laurie would be there!

It wasn't always Friendly's, though. We'd mix it up on occasion and eat at the Dalton Restaurant or the Misty Moonlight Diner. We'd always have a great time and a great meal. I guess my point is that it really wasn't where we had breakfast(sure, it mattered a little), but the fact that it was quality family time and it was an activity that we looked forward to from week to week. Can't wait to get back to that.
