Woman In Berkshire Nursing Home Dies

A lifelong resident of North Adams is the fifth victim of COVID-19 in Berkshire County. The Berkshire Eagle reports that the 86-year-old woman was being cared for in an isolation unit at the Williamstown Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown.

Martha Louise (Benoni) Robare, 86, is said to have waved to family through a window while being cared for in an isolation unit at the Williamstown Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown before she Passed.

The death comes as the nursing home was ramping up efforts to contain the spread of the virus after 14 residents tested positive.
