Mass MoCA Ice Rink Opening Delayed

Mass MoCA on Ice, the backyard-style skating rink in Mass MoCA's front parking lot — next to Bright Ideas Brewing, ROAM Gallery, and A-OK Berkshire Barbeque — is under construction and, weather permitting will be open in the coming week. It had originally been expected to open on Saturday.

On The Mass MoCA site, they have put some rules up for the use of the rink.

Once open, MASS MoCA on Ice will be free to all comers (Bring Your Own Skates!), between 12-5 pm when the museum is open. MASS MoCA will issue updates as soon as an open date for the rink is set.
Have fun, but:

• No hockey, brooms, pucks, racing, or roughness
• All children <12 must be accompanied by a guardian
• No food or drink, no alcohol
• Helmets and pads highly recommended!
• Do not remove tarp (when the rink is tarped, it is closed)

Skating is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injuries. Skate at your own risk.
Entering this rink constitutes your agreement to waive liability to MASS MoCA and its tenants.
