Members of the Pittsfield Police Department are investigating a reported armed robbery that occurred on Friday 6/26/2020. At approximately 11:00pm that night a masked man entered the XtraMart convenience store located at 420 Merrill Road in Pittsfield. He brandished a gun and demanded cash. The victim described the suspect as possibly being a six foot tall Hispanic male. He was wearing a full ski mask, green hoody, black pants, and black sneakers with white accents. A surveillance photo is included with this post. The quality is not optimal but we hope to release clearer images soon.
