Town of Cheshire Restricting Use of Hoosac Lake Tomorrow
The Cheshire Police Department is reminding locals that restrictions will be in place as Hoosac Lake is chemically treated to control the growth of nuisance aquatic vegetation.
According to the Facebook post by both the Cheshire Police Department and the Town of Cheshire’s page, the chemical treatment scheduled for tomorrow will prohibit boating, fishing, and swimming activities at the lake until Friday the 9th. Also mentioned is no drinking, cooking and watering of livestock.
In addition to on-lake restricted activities tomorrow CPD is reminding lake-goers of new parking restrictions now in place at the lake. This summer if you are kayaking or canoeing you should use the launch directly across from Bass Water Restaurant and park at that end of the lot. Those with a boat and trailer should utilize the area south of the boat ramp with the long painted white lines to park your vehicle and trailer after using the boat ramp.
