The need is always there but with the global pandemic, more that ever local food banks are in desperate need of help.  The Dalton Community Recreational Association’s Rotary Interact Group has organized a Food Drive this Sunday, Nov. 22, from 9 am to 12 pm to benefit neighbors in need.  It’s all part of their effort of “Staying Connected to Our Community.”

The CRA is encouraging the community to drop off canned goods or non-perishable food items on the curb of the Community House located at 400 Main Street in Dalton between 9 am and 12 pm.  To adhere to social distancing, once you drop off your donation and return to your car, a volunteer will collect your donation.

There is no donation too small or too large.  Monetary donations will used to purchase Thanksgiving turkeys.  Your donation will help your neighbors in need by replenishing the shelves at St. Agnes and the United Methodist Church Food Banks in Dalton and The First Congregational Church Food Bank in Hinsdale.

For more information you can contact the CRA at 684-0260 or click the link to the CRA website.
