The Town of Adams announced on their Facebook page this week that nomination papers for town positions are now available at the Town Clerk’s office.  These positions include a Hoosac Valley Regional School Committee seat, Town Clerk, Park Commissioner, Planning Board, Housing Authority, Park Commissioner and others.

According to the post, anyone interested in becoming a candidate to run for office must set up an appointment by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office to pick up nomination papers.  All signatures must be in ink, no electronic signatures are allowed.  Completed nomination papers must be returned to the Board of Registrars for certification by Monday, March 15th.  Reach out to the Town Clerk’s Office for more information at 413-743-8300.

Offices on the May 3, 2021 Annual Town Election ballot will be

1 Moderator for a term of one year, 1 Park Commissioner and 1 Housing Authority Member for a term of two years, 1 Town Clerk, 2 Selectmen, 1 Assessor, 1 Board of Health Member, 2 Library Trustees, 3 Park Commissioners, 1 Cemetery Commission, 1 Redevelopment Authority Member, 1 Northern Berkshire Vocational Regional School District Committee Member, and 1 Hoosac Valley Regional School Committee Member for a term of three years, 1 Housing Authority Member and 1 Redevelopment Authority Member for a term of four years, and 1 Planning Board and 1 Housing Authority Member for a term of five years and Town Meeting Member seats for various terms of office.

Candidates seeking to run for office must reach out to Town Clerk’s Office to set up an appointment to pick up nomination papers. All signatures must be ink signatures, no electronic signatures are allowed. Completed nomination papers must be returned to the Board of Registrars for certification no later than Monday, March 15, 2021.
