Warm

This has been something that we have worked on that is near and dear to our hearts here at WUPE for years.

It felt like spring finally arrived this week with a few beautiful back-to-back warm days in the Berkshires. Combine that with the Red Sox winning 4 straight games, more sun and warm weather in the forecast, flowers blooming and buds on the trees getting ready to turn the Berkshires green...

This week we will begin to feel as if Spring is getting closer as the temperatures in the Berkshires rise to into the 40’s tomorrow…the 50’s on Wednesday and the 60’s on Thursday. Of course, no one in New England thinks it’s time to put all of our winter gear away and break out the flip flops...

This year hasn't exactly been easy and no one's expecting it to get any easier over the next two-and-a-half months. I mean already in stores there are shortages in paper products again, it is kinda hit or miss when you go out in a hunt for the highly sought after toilet paper creature.

For Years BCAC along with the help of so many giving people here in the Berkshires, has been helping children here in the Berkshires stay warm during the harsh winter months that we get here in this area.

With frigid temperatures expected today 12/19, the City of Pittsfield has designated the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center, 330 North St., as the official warming center for those who may need some relief from the cold.

The Elf Warm Clothing Program which is a program that provides new Winter Coats, Hats, Boots, Gloves, Mittens, etc. for families that meet income eligibility.

A lot of people are enjoying a shot of Spring today in the Berkshires, but it's only a tease, Winter reality sets back in tomorrow.
